Why is Jonovision riding in the backseat?
This afternoon I finally got around to watching Firewall. It has been sitting on the shelf for a week and Katie declared it a watch by yourself movie so today was the screening. It was not bad, typical techy thriller with an old Harrison Ford saving the day. The product placement in this movie was pretty noticeable from the frozen dinners, to the ipod and all the windows application shots.
Some thoughts:
- Our wireless signal does not leave the yard and they are driving around the country side surfing on a laptop? I am not saying it is impossible but they made it seem like it was the norm.
- A pink ipod mini cannot hold 10000 songs.
- Does everyone have to have their desktop screen set to that blue windows generic one?? Would some people in the movie like to have a little personal identity to their computer?
- Was raining the whole movie.
- The ending was pretty quick, like they ran out of cash and had to wrap it up.
- I need to get me one of those dog GPS trackers for the Boss.
In other news today, we watched two hous of Rockstar Supernova tonight and I have to say I am getting a little hooked. I am pulling for the Canadian kid and I don’t mind the giant dark horse guy. Did you all go and vote??
Katie heard a song on the season two premiere of Weeds and I finally found it tonight. It is by a girl called Jenny Owens Young and it is not bad.
The day is coming to an end and I am just setting up my downloads for the night and I think I will blog off.
Currently on the go: Weeds season 2 ep2, Entourage season 3 ep11, the Casino soundtrack.
Last but not least just wanted to mention a show I am looking forward to this fall. It is called Dexter and will start airing on Showtime in October. Based on Jeff Lindsay’s novel “Darkly Dreaming Dexter,” this new crime thriller tells the story of a strange man named Dexter Morgan. Once an abused and abandoned child, Dexter is now a successful forensics pathologist…but lurking just beneath his charismatic personality is a terrible truth. Dexter has corralled his innate homicidal urges into a closely guarded second career: He hunts down and brutally murders those vicious criminals who have managed to avoid the clutches of the law.
