Woman robs Tim Hortons

A woman got away with something richer than coffee from a Halifax Tim Hortons on Sunday.

At about 8:45 a.m., a woman in her 30s entered Tim Hortons on Quinpool Road and demanded that the counter staff hand over cash. She indicated she was armed but no weapon was seen.

The suspect then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a Halifax police spokesman. No one was injured in the incident.

The woman is described as white, with a medium build. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and was wearing a three-quarter-length jacket with a green sweater tied around her waist.

The suspect also possibly has tattoos on her arms, police said.
