flyers

Less than two weeks until hockey gets going again and it is very exciting that there will be something to watch other than football and baseball. I am just starting to catch up with all the movement of the offseason and as usual my Flyers are looking good. They always look good right up until mid-April when they tank it in the playoffs. I still have no faith in the goaltending so I am pretty much predicting a great regular season and a few rounds in the playoffs, so pretty much what they always do.

The pools are starting to get going as well so that will be fun. I am in three so far but only one of them really has enough people to make it interesting. I need to do some more research on who my top picks will be. If you are reading this and want to be in a pool with a bunch of people you may or may not know feel free to message me and I can let you in.

In other news……..

I went 3-1 in my NFL picks this week and now am 6-3 on the season. Hope someone is making some money on the picks because I do not gamble for the dolla bills. Check in before Sunday for this week’s picks.

In the office college football pool I went 9-1 this week picking winners, yep all luck because I spent about eight seconds doing it.

Bosco is laying on my feet and that is nice on a cold morning in Halifax. Also he wants to know the second I am done at the computer so we can go for a walk. Sneaky guy that Bosco.

Not much else going on, worked the last few days and they were pretty busy and tiring days. Football is a busy time at work and it takes a lot out of you. Or maybe I am just getting old. Katie had a longer day than I did yesterday but a very productive and rewarding day. If she even checks in you will hear about it! AS she said, it did not seem fair that she left before me yesterday and got home after me.

Halifax is feeling the post Stones letdown. Nothing to complain about or look forward to depending on what side of the fence you were on. I am sure the Sunday shopping thing will heat up again soon. Bosco and I may take a walk over to the Commons to see the mess, maybe not after all it is a little chilly out there.

That is pretty much it for now. Pretty boring I know but everyday can’t be interesting unless you live in a TV show.
