Afternoon everyone, I am busy doing some research and figured I would drop in a quick post before I move on to something else. It is a cool, fall day in Halifax today and it is reminding me of my first few weeks here last year. It is getting darker early and the temperature range throughout the day is quite wide.

I am doing some research into what we can get to help keep the heat in this winter and try to keep that oil lasting just a little bit longer. Katie got us signed up for some oil today with a new company and they are coming tomorrow at some point. I guess it is only a matter of time before the heat is on again.

I am reading about digital thermostats and seeing if it is an easy process to do. I keep reading sites that say it is an easy task and should take 15-20 minutes but then I read the instructions and I instantly know I am not the man for the job. Since we rent it is probably a good idea to run it by the landlord anyways.

So I am going to get some insulating foam for all the window cracks, some stuff for the bottoms of doors and start stocking up on some fire wood. I do not really find it that cold yet but I know Katie will like to feel a little more comfortable in her own place very soon.

Anyone out there installed their own thermostat and want to share???

Today I finished work this morning for the week and am off until Monday. I did the usual of making some eggs and bacon and catching up on a TV show I did not get to this week. This time it was Studio 60 on the Sunset strip. I like this week’s show and am pretty pleased with it so far. It could make it onto the regular list of my weekly viewing.

After that I had a nap and then walked Bosco. The rest of the afternoon I have to admit was not very exciting. I worked on figuring out an issue with The Chocolate Dog Blog and then I gave up and made a tea and watched some more TV.

This time it was a new show that I have not heard much about called Six Degrees. It is about a group of people living in New York and it shows how they are all separated by just six people. It is not bad, Bridget Moynohan is in it so that keeps my interested haha.

Now I am having a quiet moment in the living room with the aquarium churning in the background, waiting for Katie to get home from work. She is stopping at the candy store so she may not be home before dark! haha.

As I sit here I am trying to figure out a new way to arrange this room but nothing is really going to work with what we have to arrange. I get like this from time to time and just last week I did change everything around in the office upstairs. For those of you who know our living room, it would be nice to have it set up so we can enjoy the fireplace. I will keep thinking about it but I think it is the TV stand holding us back. Oh well something will get moved I am sure.

Tonight Survivor is on as well as the second part to CSI. It will be a cozy night on Kline tonight that is for sure.
