It is Sunday morning and I am up early having a relaxing moment before the day’s task start. Bosco is still sleeping and Katie is sleeping in. I thought I would try something different so I am downstairs in the newly arranged living room with my tea, a blanket and the lap top. I have some hockey highlights on and am trying to get an idea who I am going to draft tonight in my NHL draft. We have eight people so far so if there are any last minute wanna be’s let me know.
Last night we went out for dinner and some drinks. It was such a nice fall day we walked downtown, cutting through the Commons. For all the belly aching and bitching about how bad it was for the Stones to be here, the Commons does not look that bad. You can’t really tell there was ever a concert there just last Saturday.
We went to the Fireside, a cozy little bar with a lot of comfy chairs and couches and of course a few fireplaces. The part I like about the place are their tasty martini’s and the fact that they are only $5.95. I had the fish and chips and Katie had a chicken wrap and salad with these cool beet chips. I had two martini’s and Katie had one. They were very good and very strong. Being a special occasion and being out on the town we lived it up and had dessert too. I had some bowl of ice cream with heated chocolate cake inside. Yum! Katie had this huge slab of chocolate cake as well that was soft and rich.
After hardly being able to get up from the table due to full tummy’s, we got in a cab and were home in no time. I think we had Matt Kensith as our cab driver, he was FAST!
The rest of the night was all about very little movement on the couch and watching a few more episodes of Rescue Me. We are almost finished season and I think it is a very good show and very entertaining.
So now you are all caught up on the day’s events of Saturday.
Joe Thorton or Sidney Crosby? Or maybe a goalie? Sorry was just thinking about my draft again.
So today there is not a lot going on as we have declared it lazy Sunday on Kline Street. All that really has to be done is walking Bosco at some point. Other than that I do not see a lot getting done today. Hard to believe it is October 1.
Later tonight there is some good TV on with Studio 60 and Amazing Race so that will be good. I am sure there will be some phone calls from parents and the doing all the little things to get ready for a work week ahead.
Anyone see the news about that overpass collapsing in Montreal? That was some crazy stuff, could you imagine you are just driving along and the road caves in!
Okay it is almost 10:30am, guess the quiet time is almost over, Bosco is giving me the eyes for a walk and I am sure Katie will be down any moment.
Better sign off and start the day.
