Deputy Shaq was part of a bungled raid
This isn’t why Shaquille O’Neal got into law enforcement.
O’Neal was part of a botched raid last month in Bedford County (Va.), where O’Neal is a reserve deputy, in which an Internet crime police unit was sent out to search the house of an alleged child pornography offender. O’Neal joined the unit called the Blue Ridge Thunder and raided the house of a local farmer and seized computers, cameras and other electronic devices.
According to a letter to the editor of The Alta-Vista Journal written by the farmer, A.J. Nuckols, he and his wife were held at gunpoint, searched and taunted. His children were also interrogated.
As it turned out, however, the group had the incorrect IP address for the computer they were monitoring, which resulted in having the incorrect physical address. More than a week later, the police returned the family’s belongings and informed them that the address was incorrect and they would not be charged for any wrongdoing.

I’ve heard that false arrest is considered a retirement opportunity by most Americans.
