Good morning, blogging was delayed today by an hour because the power went out for a bit. High winds today in Halifax so lets hope it does not happen again. So with the hour change and the loss of power for an hour, everything is right on track.
Yesterday we hit the Halifax market for the first time and it was quite the experience. For some reason I imagined it outside but it was inside, stretching out over long hallways throughout the Keiths building downtown. It went on forever, like an ikea without furniture. It was a miller haven, miller being the word I use for people who stand around or mill around. It gives the impression that nobody sleeps in on a Saturday here and they go to just hang and visit. The lines are so long at most tables I do not know if I would ever actually wait.
We did pick up some fudge and some orange loaf but other than that we were happy to get out of there and take a breath. After that we went to Cora’s for brunch and only had to wait for 20 odd minutes to get a seat. It was normal brunchy food, nothing exciting. I would like to do a serparate blog entry later about those silly things that most places serve tea in now. Impossible to not spill but I will save the rant for later.
From here we went to Canadian Tire so Katie could pick out a new coffee maker. Her old trust one cupper died the other day so it was time for somthing flashy and new. Boy did she get flashy and new. We now have the Knight Rider of coffee makers short of the talking. Jet black, slick and a bright red LED clock on it that may blind you in you look directly at it. Who knows if the coffee will be good but it certainly snazzes up the kitchen.
The rest of the day was a blur, I had a four hour nap and pretty much was a zombie for the rest of the day. It is nice to catch up on sleep and I feel much better. The prospect of going for the Bosco walk today is not too appealing with the prementioned heavy wind. I am sure we will go at some point althought Bosco thinks it is 11:51am and of course we all know he is wrong.
Will check in again later on, check out the pics on the right hand side.
peace
