Superman yo

Good morning it is Tuesday and it is cold and wet outside in Halifax. Just having the morning tea and counting down the last few minutes of my Prison Break download before I can watch it. Monday night’s have become a TV nightmare only in the sense that everything is on at once. So I choose PB To watch later so I can watch the other shows with Katie. 15 minutes and counting so I better make this entry quick.

Yesterday was the typical first day off after flipping my body clock around from work. It was low key for sure. Walked Bosco, raked up the backyard and had some lunch. I watched the next episode of SixDegress, an ABC show I have gotten into. It is nothing to write home about but it is a good character based show that makes you want to live in New York. Plus it has Bridget Moynohan in it haha.

After showering and tidying up a bit I settled in for a movie afternoon since it was actually starting to snow outside. Just the snow that melted instantly but still it did not motivate you to do anything outside. The movie on this day was Superman Returns. I have had low expectations ever since this one came out in the summer. To my suprise it was pretty good for a comic book movie. Looked good, special effects were good and almost all the acting was pretty superman like. My only beef is I do not know why they cast Kate Bosworth as Lois. Here is why, she is a blonde hottie who always plays blonde hottie’s in movies. Okay so they cast her for her looks? Nope they gave her this dark hair that looked like the before shot in a pantene commercial and I swear she had no makeup on. I also found it odd that they Parker Posey as Lex’s dumb sidekick when she cleary would of fit the role of Lois Lane way better. Hell at least cast the chick from Smallworld if you are going for strictly looks. The rest of the cast was fine. The Superman guy reminded you of the old one and Spacey of course can play any role and do it well. Although he did remind me a lot of Dr. Evil from Austin Powers. I also liked the subtle anti-smoking campaign. Go rent it, download it, whatever……it is worth seeing even without x-ray vision.

The rest of the day was pretty typical Katie came home and we had some dinner. Chicken strips and fries were the menu on this day with some ice cream for dessert.

How I Met Your Mother and the Class were on and were both pretty funny. On Mother the gang adopted a new name for Barney, Swarley and it was classic. The jokes were flying and it was the type of thing we all do with our friends.

After the funny shows it was time to go a little more drama with CSI Miami, okay so it is not that dramitic but it is like a good car accident, you can’t look away. Oddly enough that was the whole plotline to last night’s show.

I did catch the CTV news last night and my Mum must be getting a kick out of the national news these days since Halifax has been mentioned I think every night this week. Yep this is a wild place out here, news, news, news!

Today the slate is pretty clean so far. Bosco is laying at my feet sighing like it is the end of the world and I am about to watch PB since it is finished downloading. After that who knows where the day will lead.

I have to work on my Raptors report card and something for the Chocolate dog blog but other than that it is more of the same relaxing and staying warm.
