Testing of video surveillance cameras started less than 24 hours after Halifax Regional Police received a big boost in their plans to mount the security devices in downtown Halifax.

Police seek armed men who robbed Needs store. Halifax Regional Police are looking for two men, one armed with a shotgun, who robbed a Needs convenience store in Halifax early Friday morning.

The show will go on for Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, despite its failure to lure viewers. NBC said Thursday it has ordered an additional nine episodes of the backstage drama from The West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin for a full season’s worth of shows, or 22 weeks.
