So a few weeks back Katie came home as she usually does and first thing once in the door is to remove the ipod. Well on this day the door opening was followed by a thud and a curse by the young miss Rock. Turns out she dropped the ipod and it seemed to of survived althought the bottom piece popped off.

After a moment of fear Katie tested out the ipod and it still worked minus this odd piece of plastic now disconnected. We got it back on but it did not 100% click in. Well it works fine and docks fine but this moment of fear made Katie realize it was time for some protection. I’m not talking a security system or a more vicious dog (sorry Boss you are not scary), I am talking a holder for the ipod.

We have looked before and from the endless options nothing has ever interested Katie enough to buy it. So we went on EBAy two Sundays ago and checked out what they had. Scrolling through long lists and reading all about the different styles, Katie became bored and even more unsure. Just when we were about to give up, there it was!

A cute little holder called an IGUY. A white case that has arms and feet. The ipod slips inside and it fits like skin. Yes it was actually described as skin like. So Katie was very excited about this holder and after becoming a new member of EBAY and filling in all the info, it was hers. No bidding, just buying for this first time purchase.

Well of course the time waiting for it to come in the mail was driving Katie nuts, checking the tracking number and the daily question of did my IGUY come??

So on Friday there was a bubble wrapped package in the mail box! It came and was Katie thrilled. It is now open and holding her ipod quite cozy and safe. I think it is Katie’s new favourite thing and there are pictures of her and the new guy posted on the right side of the page (or go to the flickr page).

It is quite the funny little guy, when you plug it in you have to bend his legs so it looks like he is sitting down. Anyways you can all breath a sigh of relief knowing that Katie’s ipod is now protected from any more drops or mishaps that could occur.

I am sure there will be many adventures for IGUY in the future and I for one hope that some of them involve more than living in her purse.
