11:30pm Hockey game is still on, what the hell, lets get to the Raps game already. I have moved upstairs and taking advantage of the laptop. Hey Katie is partying it up in Toronto so why not eh.

11:34 Raps, Lakers up next! Thanks Chuck. OH crap its Rod Black and the in depth dude Brian Heaney. I worked with him back in the day and to be honest he should be called captain obvious when breaking down a game. You see you have to score more than you give up to win, ah lame. It just shows how much TSN cares about ball, hard to care when 99% of your budget is for that massive hockey set.

11:36 Whoa Rasho is coming off the bench, interesting. Rod Black should grow his stache back and stop using the word pundit. Once the game starts Im just gonna list stuff by quarter. Too late to keep typing the time, like you care really.

First Quarter

6-0 Lakers, great start guys, 3 bad shots so far and no touches for Bosh.

10-9 Lakers, Bosh finally gets a shot and hits it of course. I had no idea he was leading the NBA in boards, thanks for the info Chuck.

First timeout, ah nothing like hockey commercials for a basketball game, as I said TSN knows where their money is. Kobe has never watched the 81 point game. Do we believe him? no. Kobe loves himself too much I think. I can hear Katie where she is saying mean things about Mr. Bryant.

18-16 Lakers. Lakers leaving Bosh open for the J. Things a little sloppy right now.

20-18 Lakers. Kobe travels for the second time, he looks a little out of sync. Like he has not played in a while. Or maybe it is A-Parker putting the clamps down on K-B. This live blogging thing is getting tiring haha. Also has anyone ever thought of a lap top as a source of heat? Wow this baby keeps your lap nice and toasty.

24-20 Lakers. The Barg is in the game now with Calderon the little spanish flea. Barg almost had a big dunk but got fouled. Looks good though. Speaking of looking good, Kobe just scored again. Are we really supposed to believe that Chuck is that friendly with Jack. Kiss his ass a little more there Swirsky.

There is the end of the Q. Lakers lead 26-22 in a pretty uneventful first frame. Toronto is still in the game despite not playing that good. If they can start hitting some shots they will take the lead for sure. Although I am sure Kobe will pick it up soon too. Man it has gotten really windy outside, the power better not go out. Wait, it is not wind I need to worry about, it is that damn salty fog. Phew.

Second Quarter

30-24 Lakers. Here comes Kobe, 2 straight buckets. The Raps look a little confused. Bryant has 10 point and Kobe has gone to the bench.

33-30 Lakers. Joey G just soared to the rim for a dunk! Wow that was nice. Things are starting to pick up, back and forth buckets. I like it!

42-34 Lakers. Time out Raps, the game is starting to get away. Toronto keeps scoring but then forgets to come back and play D. Come on guys! I am sure Sam is telling them not to worry, they just need to score more than L.A. to win. Oh I know I have to stop my Sam bashing. I will just say this, if you switched the coaches for this game I think the Raps win in a land slide.

44-35 Lakers. LA is shooting over 70%. Not a good sign. At least Bosh is getting the ball now and making it happen. He has 11 points so far.

46-40 Lakers. Jose is playing great, why on earth are they taking him out for Ford?? You go with your hot hand man. Calderon and Bosh have something going, milk it baby. Lakers call timeout, I guess they do not like only winning by 6. There we go, some Lakers girls!

50-41 Lakers. Kobe, wow that was a circus shot. If you make up a career highlight reel for Kobe the Raps must show up a lot. T.J. is trying to push the action. Mo Pete has 10 off the bench which is keeping Toronto in the game. Luckily the Lakers keep turning over the ball.

52-47 Lakers. Raps are starting to run and score, if only they could make some stops. Bosh I think is an under rated passer for a big. Mercy is lurking around the bed, I think he wants to be in the blog, well guess what Merc, you just made it in. I hate these new Adidas commercials, you were fooled bla bla bla. The NBA is all about players, not teams……we are not fooled.

59-51 Lakers. They keep on scoring, no D for Toronto at all. Mercy guards his food better than this. Come on guys! Bosh with another nice pass. Raps can’t hit their free throws either.

61-53 Lakers. Almost half time, Lakers just chatting over a last second play. I am sure they will have a wide open shot. Lets watch. Ok they missed, Toronto missed and there is the whistle. Half time. Mo Pete has 14 points, he is keeping them close at least. This is going to be a long night if the Raps can’t pick up the defense. Ok time to take a blogger break, see you at the start of the third. It is 12:43 in case you are wondering.

Channel flipping, not too much going on. Lots of guys talking about the Leafs and CSI seems to be on everywhere. Ok time to get this ball game going again! Jeeez the Knicks blew out Miami for their second straight win. Ok the Raps have to win now. Just watching good ol Jalen scoring some points for the Suns. Ah Rose, I miss you and I don’t.

Third Quarter

Raps come out strong with an impressive 17-8 run to take the lead. T.J. Ford is leading the way with some sweet moves and dishes. The point guard combo tonight has been impressive and it is really too bad they can’t make some of there threes. That being said Kobe has not really tried to take over just yet.

Man it is getting late and I think the posts are starting to slow down. Figures too because Calderon is playing amazing and I am too lazy to write about it. I do not know what he took over the summer but he should bottle it and be a millionaire. He looks like a new player. Is it me or is it annoying when Chuck keeps saying Garbo? I still think they need to give the ball to Bosh more. Close game going into the fourth, don’t let me down guys I stayed up late for this one.

Fourth Quarter

Lakers go up by 2 and Kobe looks like he can score whenever he wants. That worries me just a little, how do you beat a team like that in a close game when you have nobody really playing good d?

Lakers hanging on to the lead, crap Farmar just nailed a huge three and the Lakers are pulling away. Come on guys don’t die now. Those shots from Kobe really kill any momentum don’t they. At least the Lakers keep missing free throws to give us a chance.

97-90 Lakers. Great a big 11-2 run has all but ended it now, same old Raps, it hits the 6 min mark left and they just fade fade fade. How can they let the other guys beat em, at least make Kobe be the one to beat you not Kwame Brown.

Whoa! there is hope Mo Pete and Bosh just banged in back to back threes, it is close. I do not have much faith though unless they plan on tackling Kobe.

102-98 Lakers. Things got messy at the end, Odom stole the ball from Bosh, but he missed. Parker rebounded, but Bryant missed before Kwame Brown grabbed the rebound and was fouled. He made one of two free throws with 28 seconds to go. Man that could of been huge but they could not get a rebound!! Garbajosa scored to draw the Raptors within three with 20 seconds left. But Calderon stepped out of bounds and turned the ball over. Bryant made two trips to the free throw line and hit all four to close things out.

Final Score L.A. 107- Raptors 100

Notes from the game

Kobe did not play that great and the Raptors still did not win. The Lakers played a strong team game and are showing signs of being really good this year. I think Phil is showing why he is such a great coach.

The Raptors blew it the same way they blow it every night. They cannot finish games off and fade in the fouth. The PG’s played great, Bosh had another double double and Mo Pete had 20 of the bench. If only they shot better from three, I think they were 3-18 or something crazay.

Well I am super tired, it is 204 am and this live blogger is shutting down for some live sleep. Will touch this up and post in it in the morning. Rap are on again tonight in Denver and I think I will leave the computer off and just sit back and enjoy the Raptors almost beating the Nuggets.
