I’m coming over for turkey later, you bring the C-B-erries.
Happy Thanksgivng to everyone in the U.S.A. It is your long weekend to sit around, watch football and eat until you explode. Well that is at least how we think it happens up here in Canada. It is funny, working at a website that has most of its business in the States, it almost feels like a holiday for us. Everything on the site is NFL related for Turkey day.
So let me first off by saying I am thankful the Raptors figured out a way to win on Wednesday night. They beat LeBron and the Cavs by the narrowest of margins considering they were up by 19 points I believe at one point. Bosh again brought the A-game and had help from the usual suspects. Sammy Sam tightened up the rotation, only playing eight deep. Do I feel that is the way to go? Not really but if they win you can’t really argue. We got Atlanta on Friday night, I will be there (at least in spirit in front of the TV)
Last night before work I got to catch most of the final show of Dragon’s Den, at least for this season. It was a recap show and it was interesting to see how some of the people are doing now after either getting some cash or getting trashed. I still don’t know why but that show just sucks me in and I love it.
In about 4 hours I will be off for 5 days and I am looking forward to that a lot. Not sure what the plans are but who cares, none of them involve being at work.
Even though my Thanksgiving was over a month ago, here are some reasons why I am thankful.
- Still over four months until baseball starts.
- I have an episode of Prison Break to watch when I get home.
- I get to spend a full weekend with Katie.
- Bosco is not a turkey, otherwise he could be dinner.
- K-Fed has a tell all book coming out.
- Did not get hit in face by flying gummies today.
- I get to see all my family and friends in just over 4 weeks
Blog News
Spud Dude: Kevin has been hooked by the blog bug and just like me checks his stats as much as he checks his email now. He is taking your reviews for your favourite french fries over at Lord of the Fries so make haste.
WOOT: Andrew has been slow on the post lately but that is okay. He just turned 30 and is still recovery from all the partys. Beer and News still has a lot of off the wall goodness that you should check out. I warn you it is not for the faint of heart.
CDB updates: Bosco is at it again so you better go check out what he is up to over at the Chocolate Dog Blog. I heard that he found a turkey and is running all over the house with it.

Proof that the American Music Awards are lame
Vancouver-based band Nickelback took home the trophy for best pop/rock album at the 2006 American Music Awards on Tuesday, during an evening that saw three wins for the Black Eyed Peas.

CP24 sure has changed since I left Toronto, it has all these teams now and they just so darn happy!
The Brits know how to breed cabbies!
It has received official accreditation by City & Guilds, which said the exam met “recognised quality standards”.
Chris Humphries, City & Guilds director general, said the Knowledge was “a sound training and examining system”.
The Knowledge, introduced in 1865, involves remembering every street within six miles of Charing Cross and takes up to three years to attain.
Makes me think of taking a cab in Halifax where you have to tell them how to get to your house. Seems kind of backwards when you are paying for it don’t you think??
Don Cherry made it onto ESPN today, wow maybe they will swipe him from CBC since the network is chalk full of loud mouthed characters. D0n would eat Skip and Woody alive!!
A Candy retort???
It looks like the city won’t be taking candies from the mouths of babes after all.
Mayor Peter Kelly said Wednesday that candy will still be allowed at next year’s Holiday Parade of Lights.
Our PM states the obvious but did he think it was an inner thought??
Prime Minister Stephen Harper dropped a political bombshell Wednesday by introducing a motion to recognize that Quebecers form a nation within a united Canada.
Now we all know that this is how it shakes down but it is probably a bad idea to passing a motion. Next up there will be cubicle walls around Quebec and Canada will start to look like office space.

Oh I forgot to mention I just went and voted. Not for anything important mind you, just the 2006/2007 NBA All-Star game!! I think you should go and vote as well and you better vote for Bosh or I am coming after you. Please don’t vote for this fool!

Well that should be enough for now, it is 730am and I can’t really think anymore let alone be entertaining to you all.

I like your picks, though TJ and Iggy aren’t really doing anything spectacular thus far (begs the question why NBA let people vote this early)
Oh, how DARE you question the validity of the Black President!
