Anne certainly does “Hath-a-way” with me

So yesterday I was on my first day off after working over night so I made it until 230pm before giving into a nap. It was much needed but when I awoke a few hours later I still had a lot of free time on my hands. Katie was going to an auction for work once her 9 to 5 day was over so I was on my own for dinner. It is a little bit of a treat for me because I can have a classic 5pm dinner that I was so used to before moving in with Katie. We now are more of a 7pm dinner couple and I don’t mind really but it is always a treat to eat more often in a day.

So I fixed some food and decided to check out a movie I had downloaded for Katie. She had already watched it and suggested I may like it if I was a fan of the main actress in it. The movie is The Devil Wears Prada and the actress is Anne Hathaway and yes I am a fan.

I first noticed Anna way back in 1999 in a Fox show called Get Real that I thought was really good but of course it never lasted. She and Taryn Manning (from 8mile) were the onlycast members to go on to bigger and better things even though Eric Christian Olsen is in many movies but never plays someone you would remember. Anyways I could see big things from Anne after this show and of course I was right about the giant eyes up and comer.

The was the period of kid movies to boost her sweet heart image of course, the Princess Diaries series and Ella Enchanted. I never saw EE but I have seen both Princess Diaries and I don’t care who knows it. That dude from pretty woman Chicago Hope is funny okay!!

Anyways over the years Anne has broke out of the Katie Holmes mode of acting and taken on bigger and better roles. She was the real girl in Brokeback Mountain and then of course we are at The Devil Wears Prada.

I have always been bugging Katie about growing bangs one day and I am pretty sure it is a no go but even this movie put the idea in Katie’s head. The hair, the clothes, the boots, it all made me wish I could buy all that stuff for her. Well not hair but you know what I mean. It is a funny coincidence that Katie bought some awesome boots in Toronto that would fit right into this movie. They are tall and black and very shiny. I do not think Halifax is ready for them. I will have to get a picture for you all at some point.

So needless to say I did like the movie even if it was a little on the chickie side. I mean it has Meryl in it and everyone knows my thoughts on her (if you don’t, I am not a fan) Anne counteracted that and made th movie worth seeing. I am certainly back on pushing for bangs again when ever Katie goes for a hair appointment.

Who knows what is next up for Anne but I think she has moved to a new level of acting where she does not have to do the same old movies. I would think maybe that Princess Diaries part 3 maybe have to be called the Princess Red Shoe Diaries.

I guess you may all tell me to Get Real but a guy can hope right??

In other news

I cuaght up on Prison Break yesterday and it is all building up to this Monday’s fall finale. Just as a side note who was the one who started this new wave idea of fall finales? Is that supposed to make us feel better when the shows we watch go on a break until the end of January? I do not think it is fooling anyone here. I wonder if that means that they release the DVD in more seasons to make more money? I bet the idea has come up.

Back to MIchael on the run, everyone is dropping like flies and of course there are a lot of twists and near conclusions. I do not like giving things away to those who have not seen it yet so I will make a bold prediction for Monday. We are left hanging yet again.

No basketball yesterday, glad it is back today, Raps are in Atlanta tonight on the SCORE.

It is pouring with rain today so that means a delayed Bosco walk, He seems fine with it since Bosco hates the rain.

Very good Survivor last night. Lots of drama and the way it ended has me looking forward to the season finale when the jury gets to give their two cents. Oh Nate you are gonna cut up Jonathon I just know it. My man Yul is running the show like the island’s Tony Soprano now.

I am going to go start my day over here. Hope it is a good one wherever you are.
