Good day one and all, it has been too long since I last blogged so I am here to catch you up. So much going on these days with Christmas only a few weeks away. I have been working for the past few days and am just now catching up on stuff.

The Office Xmas shin-dig

SDI has their annul holiday party on Friday night down at Murphys on the Water and it was a great time. There are a few stories to go with it so I guess we should get to those. First off Friday afternoon the snow came in bunches and that really caused some problems for the party goers. I was not getting out of work til 8pm and was a little worried I would not make it home. One guy I work with ended up in a ditch and never made it to the party. He is okay, don’t worry.

So I did get home safe and sound around 8:30pm and Katie was all ready to head out looking all nice and dressy. We waited for 20 minutes for a cab and we were off! Arriving to a half full bar around 9pm we quicky got to some drinks and various cheeses. Shortly after the rest of my work crew showed and the party got going.

They had some awards and then some random door prizes! Who knew I would win but I did! Wowsers, 200 bucks to spend at ROOTS. Thats some serious coinage for some Canadian apparel.

The rest of the night was chatting and drinking and we left around 1:30am. Took forever to get a cab home but we finally got one and shared a ride home with J-Bru. Once getting home I put my hand in my coat pocket and what do you know, the keys were not mine?? Did I have on the right jacket?? Way too confusing when you are about to pass out thats for sure. Katie had keys so we were fine until we could figure it out the next day.

Turns out another guy I work with had the same coat and he took mine and found the wrong keys when he got home. Man that could of turned out a lot worse. I was the most sad that someone else had my coat to be honest, I like to be a unique individual. Maybe shopping at the Gap is not the best way to go about that.

Road to recovery

I was not hungover but man I was in need of water and sleep this morning. I am all better now but the recovery time sure takes longer the older you get. I am sure some of my coworkers are still feeling the pain.

Here are some other ways I recovered.

3 eps of the Office, bacon and eggs, tea, walking Bosco in the fresh air, naps, tasty dinner and lounging around.
