2006 - Cuz it was a good year

They are everywhere, the best moments, movies, songs, shows, places and teams. The end of the year just seems like a good time to look back and list and rank all the was good and bad from the previous 12 months. So here at Cuzoogle we are going to do the same. Since my staff is still very hung over and trying to hydrate enough to survive new years, this list is in no real order. So here is the year in review Cuzzy style.
January
- 1st- Dinner out on new years day at the Stache. Sub par wings but A-one company!
- 6th - Made stuffed baked tators in the crock pot, so easy and so good.
- 9th - Vince burns the Raps with a last second three pointer!!
- 14th - Had some Corona’s, pizza, wings and watched 40 Year Old Virgin. Awesome night fo sho.
- 15th - Saw Feist at the Marquee
- 22nd - Kobe lays 81 points on my Raps and I stay up late to watch it.
- 24th - Cuzoogle hits 10,000 views!
- 26th - Raptors take the right step and fire Rob Babcocks ass.

February
- 4th - Watched Grizzly Man with Katie after some home made chicken curry.
- 5th - Boring ass Super Bowl as the Steelers win.
- 10th - The Winter Olympics begin and Canada gets interested in fringe sports for a few weeks before forgetting about them for four more years.
- 11th - We watched Elizabethtown. Wish we did not.
- 12th - Went out to Bayors Lake for a little dinner and a movie date with Katie. We ate too much at Jack Astors (Cobb salad) and could hardly waddle over to the movies to see Walk the Line.
- 17th - Jamie and Casey come to Halifax for the weekend.
- 27th - Raptors hire Colangelo, best day of the franchise to date.

March
- 1st - Pancake Tuesday!! The new frying pan was sweet.
- 5th - Oscars, boring enough said.
- 8th - Canada beats the USA at the World Baseball Classic, man that ruled.
- 10th - My name is Domino Harvey and I am a bounty hunter.
- 12th - Selection Sunday in the NCAA. What an exciting day for bracket fans.
- 17th - Happy St. Pattys day
- 19th - Happy birthday to Kevin, Lindsay was here for the weekend!!
- 21st - Bosco starts at a new Vet and we learn he was 99lbs. Whoa big load indeed.
- 26th - Charlie V puts up 48 points, ah I still do miss the Big Smooth.
- 28th - Katie returns from a trip out west for work and to see her bro.
- 31st - Baker finally leaves Corus for greener pastures. Now if we can only get McCarts out of there.
April
- 1st - Won a million dollars, well not really. April fools.
- 2nd - Picked up a new game for the compute, never did finish it.
- 6th - Bosco got his official Halifax dog tags.
- 13th - We bought a BBQ and had it rockin by the next day. What a great purchase. Saw Thank you for Smoking.
- 16th - Went and bought Katie her birthday present. It was a fancy new easel.
- 21st - Katie Rose Rock’s 30th birthday!! Went to Toronto for a fun weekend! Read the posts. Post one, Post two.
May
- 2nd - We finally got some new bedding.
- 3rd - Bought some new shoes, went to Milanos for dinner.
- 9th - Saw MI3, not that great.
- 12th - Bought a bike helment and we went to the Metro Centre to see Jets Overhead.
- 21st - Pistons beat the Cavs in a low scoring Game 7. Used our new steak rub!
- 25th - TV season ends, time for summer reruns.
- 29th - TTC strike, sure glad I was not there.
- 31st - My 40GB Ipod died. It still is not fixed and to be honest I forgot I even had it.
June
- 4th - Picked up some paperbacks at Chapters, Digital Fortress was a pretty good read.
- 6th - Mavs-Heat NBA, I was rather bored with the whole thing once the Pistons and Suns were out.
- 7th - My parents drove out to visit us for a few weeks! One of the best highlights to the year.
- 9th - Thank the heavens, the Raps traded Hoffa.
- 10th - The World Cup is in full swing and it was a blast watching the games during the day. Can’t forget the now famous World Cup blog by JPR and Casey.
- 14th - Amazing game at Rexall Place as the Oilers force a Game 7 in the Stanley Cup.
- 17th - We all headed to Lunenburg for the day. I know my Mum will never forget the Shore Club.
- 19th - Parents hit the road for home.
- 22nd - Carried a patio table home from Canadian Tire. My arms will never be the same.
- 24th - Had some people over for a BBQ, good times on Kline St.
- 27th - My last hair cut as a 31-year old. We went to Mexicali Rosa’s to party it up for my birthday. Man that was a lot of food and a funny convo at the next table.
- 28th - Turned 32, ouch that one hurt.
- 30th - Big debates in town over what the hell is a round about.

July
- 1st - Happy Canada Day my ass. England lost to Portugal in a game that truly hurt me.
- 2nd - Raptors welcome T.J. Ford to town. Now who still does not like that trade?
- 4th - Ate some raspberry breakfast at Cora’s. Started playing 3down in the backyard.
- 9th - The headbutt heard round the World as Zidane ends his career. Oh by the way Italy won the World Cup.
- 13th - BBQ in the backyard. Katie tries Sol for the first time. She will be a beer drinker one day.
- 14th - Went on a whale watching cruise off the coast of Halifax. Did not see any whales but did see a lot of sleepy tourists.
- 18th - Got my birthday Nano, thanks again Katie.
- 20th - Steve Nash shows up to an event with his head shaved.
- 21st - Went out to Bayers Lake in a monsoon and did some shopping. Katie will always remember this day.
- 24th - Bosco turned three!!
- 28th - We saw Miami Vice. Did not live up to what I wanted it to be thats for sure.
- 30th - Started watching Deadwood. So glad I did, one of the best shows I have seen in a long time.
- 31st - Katie is in Toronto having some fun.
August
- 2nd - Steak and salad in the backyard
- 4th -Started doing some car shopping
- 6th - We bought a car!! Malibu Maxx. That will be a day I will never forget as well. Vroom Vroom.

- 7th - The week after the car purchase was so hectic and full of stress it is certainly worth noting.
- 15th - Cuzoogle moves to Wordpress.
- 17th - Summer TV takes over as we watch such shows as America’s Got Talent and Rockstar Supernova.
- 25th - I announce my hate for the Crocs.
- 29th - Ah the classic NFL commercial, best of the year. Who’s your daddy!
- 30th - The fall lineup gets going. Thank God for some decent shows.
September
- 3th - Started watching Rescue Me.
- 4th - Went to the Henry House for G’s birthday.
- 11th - Got back from an awesome weekend in Ottawa with Katie.
- 13th - Made a big batch of crock pot chili. Global messes up the finale of Rock Star.
- 17th - Took Bosco swimming at Long Lake.
- 19th - Kev and Angela are heading to Boston to start their new life.
- 23rd - Went to Annapolis Royal for the day. Stood in the backyard in the rain and listened to the Rolling Stones live.
- 29th - Got Sam’s Town by the Killers, one of my fave discs from the year.
- 30th - Raps lose the purple. We changed around the living room.

October
- 1st - Hockey draft day, my teams suck.
- 4th - Nova Scotia enters the real world and allows Sunday shopping.
- 5th - Picked up the car pod for our trip to PEI.
- 6th - Won a Survivor dinner.
- 8th - Drive to PEI for Thankgiving. What a great weekend.
- 11th - Chocolate Dog Blog relaunch and Jackson turned 25.
- 19th - Started watching Dragons Den.
- 21st - Went out for dinner with G & L.
- 22nd - Discovered the Armview Resto, good brunch.
- 27th - Cards win the World Series, Eddie cries in his beer.
- 29th - We finally go to the Halifax market for the first time. Katie gets a new coffee maker.
- 31st -Happy Halloween
November
- 2nd - Raps open the new season.
- 6th - Katie starts to practice her driving.
- 11th - Can’t “Remember” what happened on this day.
- 13th - IGUY joins the family.
- 17th -Took Bosco out to Cole Harbour to hit the beach. Katie went to Toronto for the weekend.
- 18th -TomKat got married
- 21st - Lord of the Fries is born
- 26th - Experienced the new Tim Hortons breakfast sandwiches. Wow wow wow. Scored a lot of wood
- 27th - Saw Casino Royale, one of my favourite movies of the year I think.
December
- 2nd - Finally started watching the US Office and I am so glad I did.
- 4th - Got hit with some snow and a two hour power outage. Poor Katie took 3 hours to get home.
- 6th - The Cuz-umentary. If you never saw it please check it out.
- 7th - Larry Bird turns 50.
- 9th - Had my work Xmas party and won 200 bucks to ROOTS.
- 13th - Went and got the Christmas tree for 2006.
- 15th - Cross border tea with Kev.
- 22nd - Head off to Toronto for a great Christmas.
- 31st - Took all night to write this blog post.

Thanks to everyone who made 2006 the year it was. Bigger and better in 2007.
