So yesterday Katie and I both got some exciting news from friends. Katie’s friend Ruth had her second child and his name is Soloman. Then I found out my friend Eddie had his first child, a son named Jake. What a way to end the year, two new years babys.

Here is the email Eddie sent me, always having his mind on sports. Eddie did you consider this….Jake Hawk or J-Hawk?

Codename: The Clean-up Hitter

Date of arrival: December 31st, 2006 at High Noon

Height: 21 inches

Weight: 8 lbs, 10 ozs. (I know!)

Hair colour: He recently dyed it red, but he’s a natural brown haired monkey.

Eyes: Blue.

Mother and child are doing incredibly well thanks to the staff at Woodstock General. And yes, I was in the delivery room the entire time. I didn’t faint, but my face lost all colour and produced red spots.

The father is elated.

Knowing Eddie I have to say it shows how much this kid must mean to him if he stayed in the delivery room. This is a guy that passes out if he cuts himself shaving. Eddie, Eddie…..I don’t have the words to describe how happy I am for yah!
