Drinking three or more cups of tea a day is as good for you as drinking plenty of water and may even have extra health benefits, say researchers.

The work in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition dispels the common belief that tea dehydrates.

Tea not only rehydrates as well as water does, but it can also protect against heart disease and some cancers, UK nutritionists found.

Experts believe flavonoids are the key ingredient in tea that promote health.

This has me feeling pretty good about myself seeing as I drink three large cups of tea a day. Now I don’t get sick that often and when I do I get better very fast. Maybe it is all the tea running through my body?? Just to mention that my sister is the one member of the family that never took to tea and she is sick all the time. Now I am not saying it is the lack of tea but it makes you wonder.

On the other hand this article was posted on the BBC so maybe they are in ca-hoots with the tea makers to bump up sales?? I mean it is a country of tea drinkers. So go put the kettle on and make yourself a little bit healthier. Thats what I am going to go do.
