Good morning everyone out there in blog land, just checking in over here. It is a somewhat sunny Saturday in Halifax and I am up early enjoying the sounds of silence on Kline Street. Katie is still sleeping and Bosco is being patient laying at my feet. Today should be a fun day as we are gonna hit Mic Mac Mall and spend some gift card money we have had since Christmas. Funny this is the first chance we really have had to do it.

The plan is to also get in some practice time for Katie behind the wheel. So that will be fun as well. I am back to work tomorrow so I am hoping to just relax and not do too much for the rest of the day after we get home.

Last night it was very rainy and windy and just a miserable night so we stayed in. We had a fire and I cooked up a lasanga with all the trimmings for dinner. It turned out very good and very cheesy. I am enjoying the new red casarole dish that is for sure. After dinner we sat on the couch and digested while watching Little Miss Sunshine. It was still funny but it was not as funny as the first time we saw it. Hard to believe that it did not win anything at the Golden Globes on Monday.

It made me wonder if it was harder for dramatic actors to do comedy or comedic actors to do drama. I have always felt that if you are a comedic actor you have a lot more range and it is much harder than it looks to be funny. I mean Steve Carell, Jim Carey and Ben Stiller have all done drama pretty good. Off the top of my head I can’t think of too many who have gone the other way. Always an interesting comparison. If you have any good examples feel free to post a comment.

As expected the Raptors lost to Utah last night. I don’t know what it is but they can never beat Utah. They have strong bigs and they are just a well coached team who will never beat themselves. Oh well, the Raps next few should be wins since they are against the Bobcats and Hornets.

I am all caught up on Heroes and have to say I am hooked now. Pretty cool show with a really strong story line. Thanks to all who pushed me to check this one out. Save the cheerleader…….save the World.

That is all that is going on at the moment so I guess I better go and start my day.
