Okay so the Wiz were short one of their big guns last night but who cares. The Raptors put on a show like I have not seen in a long time. They were hotter than Jessica Alba in a swimsuit. The shots were raining in from everywhere and if you saw the game you know I mean EVERYWHERE! Bosh’s 60-footer at the end of the third quarter was sweet and I was off the couch jumping around I can tell you that. The Raps scorched the high scoring Wizards 119-109 and don’t let the final score fool you, it was never really that close.
Toronto had a 43 point third quarter and there were not enough corners in Canada for Chuck to shout out too for all the three balls the Raps were draining. It was also satisfying to see Gilbert getting very frustrated when he could not single handedly bring his team back. What did he think he could just put on his cape and pull out the victory whenever he wanted?
The importance of this game was that Washington was first in the Conference and Toronto waxed them. I know it was at home and the Wiz were coming off three game in four nights but that would of been the first round playoff matchup if the season were over. In two games this year, Toronto has kill Washington and scored a pile of points. So what if the Wizards are the second highest scoring team in the NBA, if you can’t stop the rock you won’t go far in June.
Go here to see the highlights and the recap.
Today’s ESPN Power Ranking: 11th.
If a 65-footer from Bosh (nothing but net) isn’t symbolic of the way the Raptors are playing and feeling these days I don’t know what is! First in the Titanic = definite step in the right direction!
