I heard it in a movie
Posted by Cuzzy as Music, movies, opinions, tv showsI am a huge fan of songs in movies and TV shows and how they can influence my love or hate of a song. A song may be out there that really does not appeal to me but if I see it used in a memorable scene in a show or movie that I watch, most times I will go and add that song to my Itunes playlist.
I read on Popped Culture about this list (they grabbed it from here) and it really got my mind working. I am always thinking to myself at how perfect a song is for a certain moment or scene. I honestly would love for it to my job. Could you imagine, just match songs to moments that others will watch. Shows like Grey’s Anatomy are proving that it can even launch careers or make bands bigger than they ever would of been. Can you say Snow Patrol?
So what song out there makes you think of something you watched? Is there a song that you did not like and now hum because it was used on your favourite show? Please tell me and let us build a nice list for others to read.
Off the top of my head I can think of:
Sia - Breath Me as the final song of Six Feet Under when Claire drove off to New York City. I will always remember the show from that song and yes even before Kev and Ang’s wedding.
I will add to this when my brain is not mush.

Queen Bitch by David Bowie and These Days by Nico are good examples for me. Songs I probably wouldn’t have been interested in if it wasn’t for Wes Anderson movies.
The A.V. list was a great inspiration. I read about it on another site, wrote my own and a couple of people have made their own based on my list. Gotta love the interweb thingy.
