No not this guy, I am talking about actual meatloaf! Last night I decided to try out a recipe I read in Men’s Health and it turned out pretty good. Katie gave it the good S!#& rating and I had to agree.
It was a turkey meatloaf and we added some steamed brocoli and carrots to the mix to health up our dinner. The dish consisted of ground turkey, ground beef, garlic, crushed triscuits, onion, some oregano, bbq sauce and two eggs.
Pretty easy to whip up and an hour in the oven and jackpot. I also got to try out my new meat thermometer I got for xmas. That was fun.
For dessert we enjoyed a pre Oscar fruit smoothie consisting of raspberries, banana, yogurt, some chocolate sauce and a small amount of mountain dew.
Backtracking a little, after the giant meal of Saturday night I woke up feeling very large and not so in charge of my tummy. So I decided to have a healthy day. I went for a jog/walk with Bosco and when we went out for brunch I passed on the usual greasy spoon lineup and went with crepes and fruit. Crazy I know.
So add that to the heathy dinner and I am feeling much better about things today. Maybe it is a sign of things to come? It is amazing what a little mild weather and a full day of sunshine can do to a person.
We watched Stranger Than Fiction yesterday and I liked it. I mean it was not great but because it was a new and origional idea it stood out from films I have seen recently. Will was good, very funny being the straight guy the whole time and Dustin Hoffman was pretty good as well. I would recommend it for sure.
That is about all the went down yesterday, I mean you already know about the Oscar snooze fest I am sure.
So I am back to work and that is that for now.
