Toronto Raptors meet Chris Bosh, YOUR BEST PLAYER! Give him the ball.
So I am usually going on and on about how well the Raptors are doing and up until the last few games it has been all true. I thought after they thumped the Rockets the other night that this team was finally for real. The last two games have shown they have some work to do before they can sit at the grown up table.
There is nothing wrong with losing on the road to the Cavs, they are a good team and in the NBA you are supposed to win home games. The trouble is how it happened. I tuned in late, around midway into the third but what I saw was just crap. No effort, no intensity and they let Cleveland do whatever they wanted. Bosh had the points but they were not value points. Giving up 120 points is not cool and I hope Sam Mitchell took away the Ipods and PSP’s until this team smartens up.
This season Chris Bosh and T.J. Ford have been out with injury and different times. Seeing as they are the two best players on the team you would think that would of been when the team would of suffered. Well they managed to win despite those bumps and bruises. Now maybe we see that in fact Anthony Parker is the glue to this team. He has missed the last few games and it has thrown everything out of wack. Now Mo Pete starts and the rotation seems to be hurting. Parker does all the dirty work on defense and always hits the big shots. I hope he comes back soon or there could be a bit of a losing skid on the horizon.
I do not even want to talk about the Bucks game. Bottom line you do not lose to Milwaukee at home and you do not forget who your meal ticket is. I think Bosh has eight shots for the whole game or something crazy like that. Did he going into a witness location program at the start of the game because his teammates were looking at him like he was James Posey.
There next game is in Washington where I am scared for what will happen. If the Cavs can wrack up 120 points, the Wiz could score 200. The big three are all playing again and Arenas has had a few bad games against the Raps lately. If you like to bet on the NBA I would toss my pay cheque on the over in this game no matter what it comes out as.
Finally I am happy to see Juan Dixon doing well. He is putting up big numbers and must be looking around at the other guys and wonder what the hell happened. Dixon had ESPN up in Portland and he has seen what this team is capable of. I hope they can all put it together soon and make a strong push for the playoffs. The only saving grace is the Nets are a giant pile of poop and they will never make any ground on Toronto if they can’t even beat the lowlife Celtics. Poor Vince, I hope his mom has some more statues on the horizon to make him happy again.
