Bono, the U2 frontman who tried his hand at guest editing London’s Independent newspaper and France’s Libération, now will take on Vanity Fair.

Bono will be guest editor of the July issue of Vanity Fair, which will put aside some of its usual fare in favour of stories about Africa.

Now that is a sweet gig I have to say, getting to do another job just because you are famous. I think I better work on getting famous so I can guest edit some magazines. I would like to take a shot at Sports Illustrated, Maxim and Men’s Health.

SI of course I would put the Raptors on the cover and add friends to Faces in the Crowd. Maybe even advertise my blogs and get Rick Reilly to do his back page editorial all about me and my favourite moments in sports.

Mens Health I would have to be involved in all taste testing of recipes and trying out all the new fashions and gizmos.

Maxim, I could care less what happens after I get to attend the photo shoot for the cover and pick out the best picture. Does not seem to much to ask does it?
