Sunday was a pretty good day now that I have had time to look back at it. There was a nice walk around town, a movie that introduced me to some new tunes and a dinner that I am still thinking about.
Yesterday was a typical Sunday on Kline but that does not mean it was without some highlights. The day all began just how any April 1st shoud, with a few minor April Fool’s pranks. I did not go to far but I still got some laughs out of it. I hid the coffee pot and the stool Katie always sits at but I thought those were pretty lame. So while she was sleeping still I ran the clock in the bedroom an hour ahead. Of course Katie got up thinking she had slept late and past noon. I was laughing to myself too much and had to fill her in before she figured it out.
So her payback plan was to try to burn my toast literally. Since we were having bagels she jacked up the toaster to the highest setting but here is where the plan failed. She went first and burnt her bagel! Haha that is what happens when you try to prank Cuzzy.
Once all the shanagins were out of the way we went for a walk with Bosco to take a movie back. It was a bit cool but still a nice day for walk. I know Bosco loved getting a second walk for the day. He of course slept the rest of the afternoon.
After being home for a bit we put on a movie that we both wanted to see. It is called Half Nelson and stars that good ol’ Canadian kid, Ryan Gosling. It was a simple concept but in the end a very good movie driven by great acting and strong characters. The soundtrack also was rockin and I have had the Broken Social Scene playing ever since. Here is the trailer for the movie.
With a good movie out of the way it was almost time for the main course. The Indian food that was stewing all day in the slow cooker. Man the house smelled amazing all afternoon and it was driving us crazy. Finally the rice was cooked and the Naan was heated so it was time to dish it up.
I can’t even describe how good this meal was. The chicken and potatoes were so full of flavour and they just melted in your mouth. A meal we will be cooking again for sure.
The rest of the evening was all about the TV. We flipped around and watched Nelly win a pile of Junos and then the two hour Amazing Race finished off the night. As you may of read already the Raptors also clinched a playoff spot so it was a great Sunday from top to bottom.
Today has been pretty low key, a Sunday for me really as I head back to work tomorrow. I did my banking and laundry and finished off Season 2 of Sleeper Cell.
Tonight the finale of Prison Break is on as well as the Finals in College Hoops. I am predicting Florida to win 71-64.
Check out the new little button on the top right as well. It tells you how many people are looking at the blog in real time. The highest I have seen is three so far but who knows how high it can climb.
Keep it real everyone, will touch base again when I can.
Things to look forward to:
