Yesterday turned out to be a throwback to the days when I watched way to much sports on a Sunday afternoon. Back in the late stages of highschool and college I would usually watch as much sports as I could because I did not want to do homework. Well Sunday afternoon I was not putting off homework nor anything else for that matter but I ended up watched almost three basketball games, the Masters final round and some of the Isles/Devils game.
I was pretty exhausted by the time the Raps game ended just before 9pm. I mean that had a lot to do with the fact that I was coming off nights but my brain was certainly chalk full of TV sports.
Some of the highlights
- Watching the Masters made me feel somewhat warm and spring like even though it felt like the ice age outside. The snow is still here and the wind is cold.
- The Pistons won and gave me some entertaining Sheed moments. I am kind of tired of the Fave Five thing they got going on at halftime on ABC.
- The field was actually challenging Tiger and he was not playing too well. It was going to be a large upset at Augusta.
- Did anyone see Tiger take that shot from behind the tree and snap his club? If not click here.
- Lakers/Suns game was not that exciting for some reason. MarkJackson as a commentator kind of sucks the life out of me. He wants to be way to serious and preachy. Of course Nash beat Kobe, what else is new.
- Brief nap
- Woke up in time to see the Isles win in a shootout and send the Maple Leafs home for the summer hahahaha. Maybe now the Raps will get some press.
- Katie provided the in game meal with a tasty Easter dinner of chicken, salad and rice. Hit the spot.
- Speaking of the Raptors I was kind of worried going into the Bulls game because they never do good against Chicago.
- Looked bad early but in the third everyone stepped up. Joey G was amazing and Anthony don’t call me Tony Parker continues to be one of the best kept secrets in the league.
- Just for the record MoPete should not of got tossed.
- The Bulls got romped and then Miami goes and loses to Charlotte with D-Wade back! The stars are aligning for Toront0.
- They now have a two-game lead for the third seed or what I like to call a Fast Forward to the second round. Yah I missed Amazing Race to see the Toronto blowout. You can’t pass up on those especially when the next three games are not on normal TV.
- The day of sports ended and I don’t see myself doing that again for a long time. I am sure it won’t be snowing on the next Sunday I have off so that should help.
