Premier has 348 Facebook friends, and counting

 How do you become a friend of the premier?

You get invited through what’s become one of the coolest social networking sites online, www.facebook.com.

Premier Rodney MacDonald had 348 names on his “friends” list, but some don’t believe the profile truly belongs to the Tory premier.

“I actually thought it was a joke,” wrote one Mount Saint Vincent University student on Mr. MacDonald’s list.

“I didn’t think this was his real Facebook page. Is it? I know nothing about him, but I thought it would be interesting to find out some stuff about him. Why is he on Facebook?”

It is really him, or at least one of his staffers, says the premier’s spokesman.

“He’s a little bit busy, but it’s being managed through the office,” Joe Gillis said of the premier’s Facebook.com account.

Well I am now a member and the group is up to 503 people. I am awaiting some hatorade from a certain blogger over at Beer and News.
