Well it is Friday morning and the sun is shining bright. It has been awhile for that with the rotten weather we have been having this week in Halifax. It all started almost two weeks ago with a late dump of snow and since it has been gloomy, windy, cold and rainy. The snow is finally all gone and the sun is beaming down on us today hopefully to make everything start growing. The trees and plants and grass all seem to be behind schedule this year.
It also was my five days off this week and thanks to the weather it was a struggle to want to do anything other than stay inside and watch movies. Well I did a lot of that but other events also happned so here is your week-end wrap of what has been going on over at Kline central.
Monday
- did the whole finishing nights thing with some TV shows and then a nap. Walked Bosco and then watched Smokin Aces. Not a bad movie but not as good as I was hoping. It did try to be a little different but I think everytime I see Andy Garcia now I just lose interest.
- New episode of 24 was on and as usual it left me hanging.
- very boring day but needed after coming off work.
Tuesday
- Managed the energy to go grocery shopping and pick up some beer. This was quite the event to go outside since it was nasty outside.
- Picked up Katie from work in the pouring rain.
- Cooked up some burgers, spinach salad and carrots for dinner. Very tasty indeed.
- Watched some of the Raptors sad and meaningless game against Detroit.
- Worked on updated my website, michaelcusden.com.
- Watched some hockey, actually enjoying some of the series.
Wednesday
- Katie took the car to work so this automatically made me feel like not going far even though I used to use my feet to go everywhere. Took Bosco for a walk.
- Watched Eragon, it was okay but asd I was saying to Kev, I think I would of liked it a lot more if I was 12 kind of like the same way I loved Willow growing up.
- Cooked some food in the crock pot. I called it Cuz-torta-roti’s. Cooked up tators, ground beef and 2 jars of Madras sauce in the crock all day and then wrapped it up in some tortillas. Okay not quite a real roti but they were damn good.
- Watched the Raptors close out the season with some beers and finally found out they would be playing New Jersey!
- Finished off a Wednesday like normal, with a crappy episode of Lost.
Thursday
- Got up ready to take care of business, days off were running out and needed to feel like I did something.
- Walked Bosco, ate and got ready to hit the town.
- Had to go to the mall for a few things and succeded in all my findings.
- Found a pair of shoes I liked but they did not have my size.
- Watched DejaVu, weird movie but some of it was very cool.
- Did a house tidy, creating a new cat with all the hair I pulled up.
- Katie came home from work and we got ready to go out for dinner.
- For an early birthday dinner (for Katie) we went to Saege Bistro on Spring Garden road. Very nice place and the food matched. Katie had smoked chicken with a ancho chile tostada with seared corn, guacamole cheese and mango salsa to start. The chicken was so good. Then she had a fancy salad with a glass of merlot. I had a fine glass of Stella with my chorizo sausage, corn salsa tomato and monterey jack pizza.
- Afterwards instead of dessert we went to Starbucks for two hot chocolates before heading home. Two interesting facts about dinner. First Katie almost got some wine on a neighbouring table, yah ask her for that one. Second at Starbucks Jonathan Torrens was in there getting a coffee. Think Street Cents and Trailer Park boys. Wow eh.
- Came home just in time for Survivor and this was a pretty good episode. Lots of back stabbing and shock at the end. Love it! Can Yao Man actually win this sucker?
- Greys followed and it was the typical bad things happening to good people stuff, I still watch but it is getting boring if you ask me.
- Sens and Flames won but the Canucks lost in OT.
Friday
- Well now you are caught up so I will have to start talking into the future at what is going to happen.
- Katie leaves for Toronto today, she is heading back for a few days to see friends and family for her birthday (tomorrow). We will be heading to the airport this afternoon. I head back to work tomorrow.
- I am sure we will eat food today.
- Gotta get geared up for tomorrow’s big game with the Nets. 12:30 ET. Man I am excited and nervous all at the same time.
That is all for now, do you feel caught up?
