I finally finished the third season of Rescue me yesterday and it did not let me down. It was quite the rollar coaster ride from bad to good and back again for Tommy Gavin once again. I hate to admit that I spent most of the day watching episode after episode but hey it was raining and I had the day off so whatever.
They show gets pretty addictive and there is always something left to make you want to keep going. Of course the season ending in some high drama and thank god season four is only weeks away from starting.
Sometimes the thing about TV shows is you find it hard to believe that so much bad stuff can happen to one group of people. But with this crew I almost buy it and am not that surprised each time another shitty thing happens to one of the guys.

I won’t go into specifics because I hate giving away spoilers, especially when I know Kev is just starting out on the first season. I will say to Katie, who had to stop watching after how dark and depressing the show got after a certain death affected the end of season two and the start of three is that it gets better and you have to catch up with it. I won’t lie, it gets dark again but not to the degree it did when you had to take a break.
The show deals with very real issues and I totally can see a New York firehouse being just like it is portrayed. Of course it probably isn’t but that is what a good show does, it sells you on it.
I have read about some interesting character additions for the upcoming season and it makes it all the more exciting. Can Sheila go any more crazy?? She is one of those characters I have a hard time dealing with but at the same time she plays it so well. Hey we have all met a girl that messed up before am I right?
So on June 13, when I hear the Von Bondies belting out the theme song, I will be on the edge of my seat waiting for more misery from the messed up boys at FDNY.
For more check out the site and I also have to say the soundtrack is kick ass.
