This goes out to all you suckers stuck at work today wishing you were outside. Summer has finally shown up in Halifax and I am making the most of it - backyard style.
First went to Walmart to see if they have any fold up beach chairs for the back yard and just like Canadian Tire yesterday, no dice. We just want a couple of cheap ones to lay in the backyard and maybe toss em in the car if we go to the beach at all.
Seems like all the stores have is fancy ones that cost an arm and a leg to get. While I was there I went to the garden center and picked up some plants. Grabbed a few annuals for colour and two rose bushes that will hopefully fill some space and add some zest to the backyard. The neighbours next to us have cleaned up their yard so it won’t be as ugly as last year.
I also plants some sunflower seeds that I picked up that I hope will grow into some of those nice giant sunflowers. I imagine they will be all ready by the end of summer and they look nice so why not eh?
Bosco is laying in the sun getting a tan at the moment while I sit at the table under the tree typing this. I have the bbq going, beer and some chips. What better way to spend an afternoon in the Fax.
The only reason I see having to move at all is to get more beer. I guess if I was really thinking I would bust out the Brewtender but I will leave that for another day when I know I will enjoy several beers. I want to keep sober since I may get the bike out and hit the road for some exercise at some point.

Milano’s is working on their patio and there is spring garding in the air as I can hear lawnmowers all around me.
Of course that does not drown out the traffic sounds of Chebucto but whatever I am outside soaking up the sun and I don’t have anything to do today.
Katie is in Saint John is anybody is wondering. She left yesterday and is back tomorrow night. Sounds to me like she is having a good time so far and is enjoying the job and the people. It is too bad that SJ sounds pretty boring but I am sure Katie will figure it all out in time.
Well the dogs are done, the chips are gone and the beer is gone. I guess that is a sign to head inside and add the pictures to this post and move on with my day.
I am hoping the weather stays like this so I can repeat the whole thing again later for some dinner bbq and chilling in the backyard.
I hope I can find a lay down chair soon, I may just never leave this wonderful place.
Just in case pictures did not tell the whole story here is a clip.
