The Cavs did what I did not think they could last night. They finished off the Pistons in six dog fight games. Did the better team win? I am still not sold on this but yes the best player won. Detroit once again got burned for playing with fire and did the ususal playing to the level to which they had to just to get by. I will never figure out their thinking. Do they like making things harder than it has to be? Why could they not play like the first two games of the Bulls series all the time?

I like most of the Pistons and I found it frustrating to watch for the second year in a row.  I got the feeling that they thought they could flick a switch and it would all magically turn for the better whenever they wanted. You can’t do that in the playoffs and especially against someone like LeBron. His greatness gave all the other pips the confidence to do it when it mattered. Who ever thought Daniel Gibson would crush Detroit? I like the kid but I never saw it coming.

So now the Cavs are going to jump into the wood chipper known as the Spurs. This series I think is going to be ugly and over fast. Don’t get to cozy on the couch because this series will be over faster than the Cavs five minutes of fame. I think LeBron is in for a test unlike he has ever had with Bowen all over him and who is going to stop Parker, Manu and Timmy?

Unless I am at work where I don’t have much choice I don’t see myself watching too much of this NBA Finals. I don’t care about either team and if anything does happen that is amazing I can see it on the highlights. I don’t want to watch TSN do their shitty halftime shows when they block us from ABC’s. I don’t want to see the LeBron lovefest that is coming and I certainly don’t want to see the Spurs winning again with 400 closeups on Eva and Tony.

So what will I do with my free time? Well go back to enjoying life away from the televsion. Holy crap I said it haha. Yep that means more bike rides, back yard projects, doing stuff with Katie, Bosco walks in new places and enjoying the city of Halifax in the summer.

When there is time for T.V. at least there are shows like Entourage and the new John From Cincinnati to watch.

I can’t remember the last time I cared so little about the NBA Finals. I mean the year’s the Lakers were winning with sweeps every year was very boring but I still watched. Maybe it is my age and maybe I just care more about other things? Yah I doubt that, it is the NBA product that is out there for us to watch.
