I finally got the bike out of the attic and once I had replaced the front tire I was all ready to start the biking season. Halifax is an interesting (and tiring) place to bike around. There are so many little parts I have not seen yet and since it is somewhat of a small place there are not that many areas that are unreachable. It is the hills that make it a workout and some, like the ones down to the water are impossible even for Floyd on drugs.
So this will be an ongoing list of the rides I go on and any highlights that came along with the trip. Click on the date to see a map of the route.
May 29th, 2007 - Went to get air, found out I had a leaking tube, very short ride/walk.
May 30th, 2007 - Tire all fixed, went for a ride around hood, the hills killed me for my first ride out. Only gone about 45 mins.
June 6th, 2007 - First real good ride of the year. Found a new park up in the North end called Fort Needham Memorial Park. Once again hills kicked my ass, was out for just under an hour.
