Well I am back to work but that does not mean I can’t fill you in on all the happenings for today. Sit back, grab your coffee and wake up with Cuzzy and all the borderline interesting news of the day.
Back at the Cracker Factory
After some less than exciting days off I am back to work for my four day run of daytime shifts. The weather was pretty dull this week and I ended up catching up on a lot of tv shows and movies. I hope there will be some backyard weather soon because I need some sun!
A-Mezza-ing Dinner
I took Katie out for her Survivor dinner last night. She chose Mezza just down the street from us on Quinpool. It was a tasty event that left us both stuffed and happy. It is a Lebanese place that seems a lot more upscale than the area it is in. I hope it sticks around and that Quinpool grows around it. It is nice to have a decent place to eat that is in walking distance. Okay Milanos is next door but that seems just too close.
We had a Kabob party platter for two which consisted of four kabobs, your choice of chicken, beef or kafta, served with rice, roasted potatoes and fatouch salata and a choice of garlic or hommus dip. We got a couple chicken and a couple kafta and they were both very good. There was plenty of leftovers which I will be having for lunch today.
A very Rich show
We watched a few more episodes of The Riches last night. What a good show and I would say 90% believable that it could happen in real life. The acting is great and it is shocking to see Minnie Driver be so good. I was expecting her character to be rather boring but she may just be the best part of the show. Check it out if you have not heard of it.
Kobe still wants out
In the next week or so the NBA could have a major facelift. Kobe Bryant has listed that he wants to go to New York, Chicago or Phoenix. There is a better chance of Kobe staying at the Howard Johnson in Colorado than him going to Phoenix. There is no way the Lakers send him to a division rival. The Knicks have shit to offer so it looks like Bryant will be going to the Windy City. Boooooo for the Raptors.
Where is summer?
Another cold day in the Fax today. The dull and dreary weather continues. It is depressing watching the national forecast each day where it basically says it is nice and warm everywhere but Nova Scotia.
Happy Fathers Day
Once again I hope all the dads out there have a great day of power tools and lazy boy chairs. I think my dad is off in the woods somewhere camping so I know he is having a good time. Special mentions to Eddie since it is him first dad day. I am sure there will be a Tigers game on the TV with a special Sunday Subway trip.
