Well I am taking the day off tomorrow from blogging so I better get all my draft thoughts in now. I am getting pretty tired of all the what ifs, rumours and breaking news that is adding up to nothing. Lets make a deal already!

I am kind of hoping for the Raptors to somehow get into this deep draft to improve the team a little but if they don’t I am not concerned. They will sign someone on Sunday with their MLE and things will be looking up.

What I don’t want to happen is the East all of a sudden getting stock-piled with talent. KG, Marion, Kobe, and Amare have all been rumoured to be going to the weak conference. I know that the odds are in the favour of the East getting better (can’t get worse) but I am a Raps fan so I want them to have a few more years to beat up on the L-east until they are an upper tier club.

KG to L.A. or Phoenix, that is very exciting and would make the West even crazier next season. I would hope at least that would mean the end of the Spurs run.

At work I sit in front of ESPN all day and it boggles my mind how they try to drum up stories and rumours and turn it into actual news. They are still talking about the 4-way KG trade that everyone else dumped on yesterday. When Jim Grey is your source you have got problems.

I wish I was a GM. I would call up my GM pals and toss out a bet who can get into the ESPN breaking news ticker the fastest with some bogus leak. Now that would be entertainment. Every 15 minutes the thing would change to some crazy trade.

The NBA DRaft is a circus mostly because we are all still in the mode of hoops and have not signed off on it being summer yet but sometimes it just borders on crazy.  There are 57 mock drafts floating around and I bet none of them even get it right because you can’t account for bonehead moves. Who predicted Hoffa for the Raps a few years ago or who can even guess what the hell Danny Ainge is going to do. I am sure he has started a myspace page to try and get help.

So it all goes down tomorrow night, I will weigh in on Friday after all of the chips have fallen. Emjoy.
