Well that was a rather uneventful weekend! It did not help matters that I worked most of it. Oh well such is life in Halifax. Here are the rest of the highlights and lowlights.

  • Saturday we were up fairly early and hi the Halifax Shopping Centre. The goal was to find Katie shoes for the wedding we are going to at the end of August. Usually this task would be dire but on this day it was maybe the most successful shopping trip ever. First store, bam found shoes that were not only nice looking and comfortable, they were pretty cheap. Wow that was easy. We looked around some more, celebrated the purchase with some New York fries and were on our way.
  • The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing and reading. I finished up (finally) Phantom by Terry Goodkind and now am awaiting his next book in the fall. It is one of the few series of books I keep up with and the next book will be the eleventh and final book of the series.
  • I went to work, yay for work.
  • It was a pretty slow night excpept for the chance to watch David Beckham play his first game with the L.A. Galaxy. Okay so it was a friendly versus Chelsea but there is nothing like some MLS soccer to get your heart pounding on a Saturday night. In the end it was more about watching who was in the crowd than the game. Posh and her gals were all there partying it up. Becks touched the ball a few times in a very boring 1-0 loss.
  • Have I mentioned how dark and wet the weather has been. Man I am happy the sun came back.
  • My parents made it back from their two week camping trip. Sounds like they had a great time.
  • Yesterday I worked all day, doing a switch shift I did the 8-8 portion of the day. I was pretty thankful for the 8 hours of British Open golf I watched because other than that it was a slow day in the world of sports.
  • Came home, hung out with Katie while she packed up to go back to Saint John and called it a night.
  • Pretty boring time but I wanted a reason to get the header picture up and this is the best I could think of.
