Good morning how the hell are ya?
Been up for a while now taking care of business and finally getting to today’s blog action. Yesterday was Bosco’s birthday so that took up a lot of yesterday but it was so much fun. You can read all about it here if you like. There is a new member to Bosco’s posse that will be a lot of fun in the near future so stay tuned for that.
The remainder of the day I spent relaxing and enjoying the perfect weather here in Halifax. I see on the news how everywhere else is having crazy heat or rain and I am just happy to have what we do. Regina was 50 Celcius with the humidex yesterday, that is just wrong.
I went for a bike ride down to Point Pleasant Park and back just to get some fresh air and work up a sweat. Lately I have been trying to get back into a lot of the things I have let slide like reading and exercising. Seems to be working so far.
I watched a few episodes of John From Cincinnati and now I am all caught up on that show. It is a weird series that I don’t really think I can describe to people. There are three shows left in the first season and I hope it explains a lot. Is anyone else watching?
Last night the featured film was Disturbia and I actually liked it. I went in thinking it would be some lame teen flick and I was pleasantly surprised. Shia gave a good performance and so far I have liked all his movies. I would like to think he will make a career out of it but as we know it can turn so fast, does anyone know what Devon Sawa is up to these days??
This movie made me think about how much fun it would be to be under house arrest! I mean I say this looking at it simply from the plus side of things but staying home all day playing video games and eating seems okay to me. If money was being delivered to the front door all the time would be a bonus too.
Finally I ended the viewing evening with a show I have become hooked on and I think more people need to see. That of course is Shaqs Big Challenge. You know the one, where Shaq takes on child obesity trying to help six kids lose weight. I think the network does a poor job marketing this show, they paint it as fun and games but I think the info in the show is something all parents should see. I think it is right up there with all the great docs that show how the world is in trouble. It is heartbreaking seeing these kids killing themself when all they need is some guidance.
Finally for today’s post here is a list of stupid people.
