When I lived in Toronto I had ceiling fans in my apartment and thought they were great for beating the heat especially at night when trying to sleep. Since moving to Halifax, the weather is not as hot and the need for them is not quite as important. Over the last week or so I have been dreaming of those days of having the fan on high blowing down from about and cooling me why trying to catch some zzz’s.

I know it is silly when you rent and it is only extremely hot for a few days per summer but I went and checked out some fans anyways on the net.

I went to Farreys.com and my God they had a lot of fans to choose from. They have so many I would bet they have more fans than the Los Angeles Clippers.

Farreys.com offers thousands of unique ceiling fans and ceiling fan accessories from more than a dozen popular ceiling fan manufacturers. They offer thousands of lighting products including chandeliers, wall mount sconces, lamps and other light fixtures for home lighting, landscape and outdoor lighting.

You are able to compare lighting products and light fixtures easily with their really “bright” lighting search feature. I was finding all kinds of cool lights with ceiling fans in seconds. I guess I will just have to wait until I own something before making a big hole in the ceiling.

The site’s ceiling fan customization system assists in configuring and ordering ceiling fans to exact specifications with all accessories so you don’t have to go to the store or do any of the figuring out. I think this is great because if I went to Walmart for this they may look at you (with a smile) and not really know about everything you need.

I have to say after some browsing I would like to see something from the Ellington line spinning over my head in the near future. These fans look cool, no pun intended.

So I think it is time you tried to beat the heat today and order up some ceiling fans or lighting products from Farreys.com and chill out for the rest of the summer.
