Good morning hope Sunday finds you all well and happy. The weather is great today in Halifax so I took advantage and was up early for a bike ride. Perfect way to start off the day if you ask me. Now I can enjoy my bagel and tea and catch everyone up on the weekend so far.

Yesterday was a slow starting day since we were out on Friday evening at a friend’s house. They were hosting a get together to show off some work they had done on their house. Small gathering but it was fun to be out and catch up with people.

So once things got moving yesterday morning Katie took out the ol’ Malibu for some erands and I took care of an important task while she was gone. I brushed all the stones out of our driveway that come from the neighbours. Yes you were hoping for something better I bet.

Once Katie was home and we had a small bite we hit the road and went to Golf Center out on Prospect Road for a little driving range action. It has been a long time since we did that and it took a few cuts to get the swing back. By the end of a bucket Katie was getting in the groove and I was back to hitting some 250 yard bombs. The scenery was glamorous, looking out to a giant pile of trash. I am not sure if Katie will wake today with sore arms or not but he hope to go again and even get a round of golf in very soon.

Once home we hung out in the backyard with some cold drinks and had a game of scrabble. For those keeping score, I won this time round but we were both over 200 points. Maybe Katie was distracted because the new neighbours were checking out their new house and it is very hard not to spy. Okay I found it very hard not too peak at them through the bushes.

Katie had a quick nap and then we got ready and went out for some dinner. Nothing over the top, we went to Applebees to enjoy some of Chef Tyler Florence’s work. They really plaster that guy all around the menu, we were waiting for him to come out of the kitchen and ask us how it was. I had a quesadilla burger and Katie had some chicken, bacon sandwich on pretzel bread. All good I say and I did not even mind the Just For Laughs wannabe waiter we had.

We hit the Starbucks drivethru on the way home and had a relaxing evening watching the last two episodes of The Riches. Of course it ended pretty quick and at the height of the tension. I like the show and I look forward to seeing where it goes from here.

So now you are all caught up.

It was also my Mum’s birthday yesterday but they are off camping in the woods so I have not had a chance to talk to her yet.
