Brad Pitt and Edward Norton, last seen together in 1999’s kick-ass flick Fight Club, will team up again to star in the big-screen adaptation of the British miniseries State of Play.

Kevin Macdonald, who helmed The Last King of Scotland, will direct the movie, reported Variety magazine.

Pitt will portray a journalist investigating the death of the mistress of a congressman, played by Edward Norton. Pitt’s character, who is a friend of the congressman, develops a relationship with the politician’s estranged wife.

The drama has been described as a complex political thriller that centres on the relationship between government and business.

A movie to look forward to indeed.
