Good morning everyone and how is your Wednesday going?
Just taking care of a few things before I head out the door to work on a list that is growing by the minute. I have had my day of lazy time and now I have to actually do something before I head back to work on Friday.
Yesterday I watched two movies while working on the list of things I should of been doing. We all have those days so I do not feel so bad. Hopefully they will get taken care of today or tomorrow and life will be good.
The first movie was Oceans 13 and it was pretty much the same as the first two. Large scale scam that had a lot of hard to believe and perfectly timed plans that made me think it was pretty easy to go out and buy a tunnel making drill. What the movie had going for it was that it looked good and had the usual Oceans style and most importantly, no Julia. I could not stand her in the other flicks and was happy to see her removed from the boys club. I did laugh when at the end George told Brad to settle down already and have some kids.
Later on I watched Fantastic Four - The Rise of the Silver Surfer and somewhat enjoyed this movie as well. It was certainly better than the first movie in my opinion. The Silver Surfer was one of the coolest things I have seen in a movie in a long time and it is too bad they could not surround that guy with a better movie. The acting was weak, they made Alba bad (that hair was awful) and they never actually explained much about the back story of the Surfer. Can we have a spin off movie just about him?? That would be awesome. Also does the main guy, Mr. Fantasic remind you of a Steve Guttenberg/ Jeff Goldblum hybrid actor??

I am pretty happy that most of the network shows are starting this week because I have run out of decent movies to watch.
OK off to take on the list.

Was Ocean’s 13 better than Ocean’s 12? I loved 11, but thought 12 was really bad. So give it to me straight - is it more like 11 or more like 12??
It was better than 12. I did not like 12 and like you I really liked the 11.
I think the biggest problem with 13 is, we have seen it all before. Everything was too perfect and it was even more hard to believe than either of the first two.
Worth a watch but if you can trick someone else into paying for it, even better.
good soundtrack
hope that helps
Oh and Al Pacino needs to call it quits.
[...] I mentioned in yesterday’s post I had a long list of tasks to take care of. It felt like I was on Amazing Race without Phil. Looking back I think I did pretty well. All of [...]
