Time to rumble boys. It is only preseason but the first bomb of year in the NHL was dropped last night in the Flyers-Sens game. Check out the hit below.

The Senators got some good news on Dean McAmmond Wednesday.

The forward does not have any factures after being hit by Philadelphia’s Steve Downie in an exhibition game on Tuesday night.

The NHL is reviewing the incident but are not expected to take any action until they have a full report.

McAmmond was coming around the net in the second period and had released the puck when he was clobbered by the 20-year-old Downie. McAmmond was taken off on a stretcher.

He has a concussion and is expected to receive further treatment from Senators staff on Wednesday.
