Shawn Marion wants to be traded away from Steve Nash? Are you kidding me? What next, the government going to demand they don’t get a dime from the tobacco industry? This is the most outrageous thing I have read all summer. Don’t get me wrong Marion is a good player but the NBA is full of good players. Steve Nash is a great player and his greatness rubs off on all around him.

When you get the chance to play with a Hall of Fame point guard you don’t leave that situation unless you are a moron. Ask Kenyon Martin or Joe Johnson or even Mikki Moore after this season. There are so few players that make others better that they can mislead someone’s stock in the league. Marion will go somewhere else and be good but he will most likely be on a bad team and how much fun is it to be the big wheel on a crappy team?

NBA forwards are calling their agents as we speak trying to wiggle a deal to get to Phoenix and hop on the Steve Nash championship tour. AK-47 would go bananas with stats playing with the Suns and I honestly hope that trade happens.

I get that money rules the world but is it worth it to make a few more millions so you get your ego stroked and you get the ball more? Or do you want to make less, be on a contender and have fun all the time? It is hard to be in Marion’s shoes but I would have to say I want to win.

If Marion gets traded it is a lock he will be just another athletic player and whoever gets to run the floor with Nash will grow to be an All Star.

Someone needs to tell Shawn to suck it up, emjoy being the third-wheel and enjoy a possible title this season. I hope karma bites him in the ass and he ends up looking around on the floor and seeing the likes of Marbury, Spike Lee and Isiah.
