In response Google created a black version of its search engine, called Blackle, with the exact same functions as the white version, but obviously with lower energy consumption.”
I am not exactly sure if these numbers are right but it is certainly an outside the box idea.
I wonder if more sites will do this in the future. I guess it comes down to style versus energy. I bet Al Gore does all his searches here.
