Ever try to get people to chipin for something? Maybe an office gift or a lottery? Whatever it was I am sure it was a hassle to go to people over and over again basically begging for something that the people already said they would give.

Now there is a website that does it for you.

It is called ChipIn.

ChipIn lets you park their widget in your web site, MySpace page, and so on, in order to collect money for any cause you choose. ChipIn will handle the credit card transactions needed to bring in the funds. The more money you collect, the higher your ‘progress meter’ indicates on your widget, until you’ve hit your goal.

So for example if I wanted to raise some money for my blog, I could just put up the widget and then people can submit money if they wanted pain free.

Kind of a cool idea but when it comes down to it you still need friends that want to give you there money.
