Good afternoon everyone I just wanted to take this moment in time to update you on all a bunch of stuff. It is cold and raining in Halifax so what better time to blog up a storm and generate some heat than now?

Fall finales are so lame

We get it, TV shows can’t have new episodes every week. When I was growing up it was usually around December that there would start to be reruns. People don’t watch television as much with the holiday season here ( way to early!).

Ever since Lost started this new trend of having two mini-seasons, other shows like Prison Break has followed. Now in one year there are two big finales and two cliffhangers. Do they think they are fooling anyone? Yes we know, it is time for reruns.

The writers’ strike has made it even worse this year and networks try to ration out remaining shows like they are trying to make a piece of pie last forever. The end result for us is shitty television. If you watched Prison Break last night you know what I mean. You can’t just have some big twist when it fits the schedule. Oh gotta stretch out these shows, bam, crazy twist and no more shows til January.

With Tivo, live streaming shows and downloading we can watch shows whenever we want. So maybe Fox is saying it is time to shut it down for a few months but for those of us who are a little behind, now it pays off.

My point? The title of Fall finale is very lame and it insults the audiences intelligence.

Mum is coming!

This Friday my mother is flying out from Ontario to visit us. That will be a lot of fun and I know she is looking forward to it. It is not ideal since my Dad and sister are not coming but you take what you can get. I have some plans all set for the five day visit and I hope the snow holds off. Stay tuned for more on this over the weekend.

Raptors back tomorrow

Toronto is back at the ACC tomorrow against the Jazz. I will do my daily report later. It will be nice to watch the game on a cold night in the Fax. They always suck against Utah so I can only hope it is a good game.
