Okay so Celine Dion changed her mind and chose not to come to Halifax. She did not like the negative vibes being sent her way once her concert was announced for the Commons. I guess she has not met a lot of Haligonians. The city likes to hate and then love I have found. They moan and complain but they would of probably bought the tickets in the end.

So that is over with. Now we find out we are getting a visit from Jerry Seinfeld.

The 53-year-old creator and star of the iconic TV show Seinfeld will perform standup for Comedy Cures on Sept. 9, 2008 in Halifax to help raise money for the expansion of the emergency and trauma unit at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre.

There will be limited availability of tickets, and they’re going to be targeted specifically at QEII supporters.

So he is not playing the Commons like my mum just asked and as it turns out it won’t be for the common people either.

Regardless I hope the haters of the city don’t make him change his mind. I would hate for Halifax to become part of Jerry’s stand up routine down the road.
