For some time now I have assumed that everyone has the Internet at home in some fashion. I have had home access for several years and can hardly remember the days of using dial up to get on the web.

What about other countries? Do they have the same services as we do in Canada?

I took a look at one of the newer providers in the UK and it seems to me that they have similar options but at lower costs.

BT offers a variety of broadband service for any budget and after comparing some prices I would have to say they make a good pitch.

They have three packages to choose from on the page and all you have to do is answer the question of what you want in a broadband service.

Their ultimate package is only 19 pounds a month (roughly 40 bucks Canadian) and gives you the following:

  • up to 8 Mb in download speed
  • A wireless BT home hub (very handy)
  • Amazing security
  • BT vision digital TV recorder

If you click on the compare button it takes you to a handy chart that maps out each plan so you can see what each offers.

If it were me I would be going for the ultimate package but they also have a bare bones package as well for just under 9 pounds a month.

The best part of the ultimate package is it offers unlimited wi-fi. For me that would be the seller right there.

Check out BT Broadband Internet if you are living in the UK and want the best service for the best price. Seems like a good plan to me.
