Toronto 103, Memphis 91
Tonight we saw why it is key to have a deep bench. To start with T.J. missed another game and of course the little Spanish Flea ran the show perfectly once again.
Then Bosh tweaks the old groin and Bargs does a little knee bangin and just like that two of the stars are out.
Not to worry because the depth that BC and the Raptors have created easily kept the ship afloat to blow out the Griz.
It was close at the start with both teams looking like they would put up 120 each. Then Toronto left them in the dust with a hot shooting 2nd quarter. Delfino and Parker were on fire and even Rasho-saurus had some crafty baskets.
Not a lot of teams could sustain those types of injuries and actually get better. This will be Toronto’s ace in the hole as the season goes on. They have the depth to deal with day-to-day injuries like few teams.
Moon is becoming one of my favorites and as the Swirsk wrote in his blog today, I would love to see the Moon man in the NBA dunk contest.
As for the Griz, they lost interest and were bad at getting their stars the amount of shots they need.
I am loving the progression of Kapono’s game and even Joey G dropped a bucket.
Lets hope CB4 just needed a little massage and Bargs is back for a big game against the LeBron’s on Friday.
