Phoenix at Toronto 7pm ET

I know it is only December but this is a big game tonight. The players will say it is just another day but there is a lot of subplot to this matchup.

The Raptors are playing the big brother they want to grow up to be. Toronto wants to become Phoenix east and they are certainly headed in the right direction.

BC must want to beat his old team pretty bad and I am sure he adds some extra motivation in his own way.

Then you add the whole Canadian content factor. Whenever Steve Nash comes to town for his one game it is an event. Everyone wants to see Nash put on a show as long as the Raptors win.

In years past he has burned the team late with his clutch shooting and off the charts passing.

The Suns had a game last night that may take some steam out of their sails but expect Nash to be pumped for this game.

I have not read if any of the B boys are back but I hope they are.

This is a game you want all your big guns playing and it is certainly a statement game more so for Toronto.

Toronto’s depth will once again be key because as good as the Suns are they don’t go that deep and their starters log a lot of minutes.

With Ford back this will be where Toronto can take advantage. When Nash goes to the bench Toronto can play Ford or Calderon who are much better than the Suns backup PG.

If Bosh sits it could be a long night however. Amare put up over 40 points last night and is starting to look unstoppable. I guess we will put our hopes on the wide shoulders of the Rasho-saurus to slow him down.

The X-factors will be Delfino and Marion and the Raptors will…..

If B boys play: win 111-107

If they don’t: lose 104-100

Fans should sit back and enjoy the Suns game. This is what the Raptors will resemble more and more in years to come.
