Toronto at Atlanta 7pm ET
Josh Smith, Josh Smith, Josh Smith.
That is what Toronto has to be on the look out for tonight. The guy is a stat-stuffing, super freak on the court and you can’t let him take over a game. He does not have the polished skills that most stars do but he can destroy you with his athletic wonder hops if you let him.
The Hawks even though they are struggling, knocked off the Magic last night so they must be taken seriously. Toronto never seems to play well in Atlanta. I don’t really know why, it is not like there is any home support there. Maybe the Raps don’t like playing in front of a half empty building.
Bosh’s return on Sunday was great and much needed. He brought some toughness, leadership and strong D back to the club who just needed a little something from CB4 to get over the hump.
They need to start stringing wins together and get away from the .500 mark. The East is kind of slow right now and Toronto can’t let Orlando and Boston get too far ahead.
Andrea Bargnani should be back in the lineup tonight and that will be a big help. He is a matchup nightmare and if his rust is not that bad he should help stretch the Hawks perimeter D.
Take care of business by guarding Johnson and Smith hard and it should be a good night for Toronto. Let those two get off to good games and it could be a rough night.
I think Toronto will win 107-99 behind a classic game from Bosh and a bounceback game from T.J. Ford.
