Today I watched the finale of Dexter and had that usual feeling of wow and sad all at the same time. Wow because of what happened and sad because now we have to wait for Season three.

The weather is snowy and cold and I had a day all to myself. The problem, I was out of shows to watch or catch up on.

I opened up the folder on my computer where I stock pile shows like some TV squirrel and all I saw were folders full of episodes of Weeds, CSI and Damages. Problem solved? Nope.

Katie and I are watching those together so I am waiting and saving them for days or evenings when we are both home. It will come in handy after Christmas when the writer strike will make TV crap.

So what do I watch? I have the time, I have the snacks and I have the motivation of a hermit.

Ah what is this folder called Burn Notice?

Oh right it is some show I downloaded months ago and always meant to get around to it. Well today was the day and I am very glad I gave it a try.

Funny enough it seemed to be the perfect medicine for my Dexter fever. The show is set in Miami and even had a cast member from Dexter in it.

Burn Notice falls in the action/spy genre is the USA Network’s newest original series. Jeffrey Donovan stars as Michael Westen, an international spy who suddenly finds himself blacklisted. Dumped in his hometown of Miami without money or resources, Michael struggles to put his life back together and find out why he’s been burned.

In the meantime, he uses his unique skills and training to help people in need … mostly people who can’t get help from the police.

The show has some real comedy to it and any fan of MacGyver will fall in love with the show.

I am only a few episodes in but I can see myself getting hooked and watching two or three a day.

If you are stuck for a new show to follow I highly suggest downloading this one. It will do more than just fill a void in your TV universe for a week or two. It may add a new show to your list of ones you have to watch.
